Introduction Sean is a KCC (Kent County Council) Licensed CRB checked professional drum teacher. Sean has been teaching in and out of schools for over 7 years. Sean’s lessons are extremely popular with his students teaching them to play drums to the style of music they enjoy. As well as playing drums Sean also teaches students how to read drum music, once the students can confidently read the music Sean will then take the pupils through the internationally recognised Rock School drum grade/qualification which can help them in the music industry once they have finish school. The Rock School grades/qualifications can also help students get into university. Beginners are just as welcome as more accomplished drummers. Percussion Classes Sean also teaches percussion classes. In these classes students get the opportunity to create different rhythms as a group using different percussion instruments. These classes help encourage skulls such as, social interaction, confidence building, team work, decision making, listening skills and coordination. Band Skills Sessions In the Band Skills Sessions Sean will put musicians into a group that suite their skills and preference in music genre style. Instrumental tuition is covered however these lessons are more aimed at students who have a basic knowledge in how to play their chosen instrument, the band skills session covers: Playing music as a band Writing songs Writing Lyrics Basic music tuition on their instrument Musical interaction between instruments Understanding Rhythm and general musicianship Reading music How to analyse song structures Live Performance Techniques Marketing and advertising skills/promotion techniques CD Recordings Performing live in front of their school Band Skills lessons are designed for a weekly basis and can run during school time or after school. Band Skills lesson are of duration of 30 minutes long and run within the school term. Students will be put into a group with members such as Vocalist, Guitarist, Bass Player, Keyboard Player and Drummer.
