| Lessons Offered (as well as the Band Skills Sessions) 40 Minute One to One Drum Lessons In these lessons students cover the understanding and reading of drum music. Students will study the Rock School drum grade / qualification. Students will work towards covering all styles and genres of music. Due to being a 40 minute lesson students will progress very quickly. They will get many opportunities to learn how to play drums to there favorite songs. They will also learn about taking care of a drum kit. They will also gain experience in song writing as well as reviving help when finding a band that suits there specific chosen music genera. These lessons are more aimed at out of school hours. 30 Minute One to One Drum Lessons In these lessons the student will get the one to one experience, learning all the basics of drumming. The student will then work towards qualifications in music, these qualifications are internationally recognized, and can help get students into university or find work in the music industry once they have left school. Students will also have the opportunity to play and learn songs they enjoy listing to as well as taking part in live performances at there school. 30 Minute Paired Drum Lessons These lessons Students learn how to play the drums with a school friend or someone who is at the same level in drumming. Students will learn how to Play the drums, Read music and then when ready go through the Rock School Drum Grade/Qualification. Students will get the chance to learn how to play drums to there favorite songs and also get the opportunity to use percussion instruments creating different rhythms together. 30 Minute Class Drum Lessons In these lessons the students will learn in class room environment. The students will be using different percussion instruments as well as a drum kit. In every lesson students get the opportunity to play together. These lessons help encourages social interaction, not only is this highly motivational but it is also critical to developing the ability to listen and interact with other students. These lessons encourage social interaction, confidence building, team work, decision making, listening skills, coordination and motor control.
